Although liquid crystals were discovered in the early 1900’s and the first active matrix LCD was produced in 1972, they have become commonplace over the last decade because of the rise of the laptop, or notebook, computer. Engineers now had access to an advanced display that used very little electricity and so was suitable for battery powered devices.
LCD televisions are on the rise and currently prove more popular than the plasma alternative, whilst the ageing CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) we all grew up with, is fast becoming a thing of the past. Such is the demand at this moment, that LCD’s are in short supply worldwide.
We currently provide a variety of screen sizes, including the following:
17” (Contact us to request technical specifications) 19” (Contact us to request technical specifications) 32” (Contact us to request technical specifications) 42” (Contact us to request technical specifications) 50” (Contact us to request technical specifications)
We would be happy to discuss screen sizes outside of these parameters, or custom designs specifically tailored to your needs.
